Strong Detective Work by NOPD Traffic Division Leads to Convictions in Two Fatal Hit-and-Run Incidents

Two traffic incidents that occurred earlier this year and involved fatalities recently saw the suspect in each case receive convictions, thanks to the efforts of the NOPD Traffic Division’s Traffic Fatality Investigation Unit.

Campus Burglar Quickly Apprehended for Incidents on Virgil Boulevard

NOPD assisted Dillard University Police in the arrest of Rashad Johns (DOB: 2/14/1988) and charged him with four counts of residential burglary on the campus of Dillard University.

NOPD Fourth District officers arrested Johnathon Guidry (DOB: 9-4-1985) today (Oct. 5) after he was caught on surveillance video taking equipment from a backyard shed in the 300 block of Belleville Street.

NOPD Sixth District officers arrested Mark Rayfield (DOB: 2-2-1988) on Wednesday (Sept. 28) after the Multi-Agency Gang (MAG) Unit received information that he was armed in the area of Thalia and Simon Bolivar Streets.
