NOPD Collects 120 Prom Gowns in Dresses for Dreams Drive

In partnership with community members and organizations, the NOPD collected more than 100 dresses for 60 junior and senior high school girls to choose from for their prom this year.

The NOPD, Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Louisiana held a press conference at the NOPD Third District station on March 21 to announce a partnership that includes addition of drop boxes for citizens to deposit unused prescription medications. These boxes will be located at NOPD Headquarters and at district stations.

The NOPD is partnering with community organizations to launch a drive called Dresses for Dreams, geared toward helping local high school students attend prom.
