UPDATE: Wanted suspect Joneaka Smooth turned herself today (December 12, 2024) to NOPD Traffic Fatality Unit investigators. She is currently being booked on the charges listed in the previously issued press release.

New Orleans Police are asking the public's assistance with identifying the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run collision. 

The NOPD is investigating a two car crash that claimed the life of one person this evening (September 29, 2024).

The NOPD Traffic Division’s Hit and Run Unit is investigating a hit & run accident that claimed the life of a pedestrian last night, (September 27, 2024).

The NOPD Traffic Division’s Hit and Run Unit is seeking assistance from the public in locating a suspect vehicle and its driver/owner in the investigation of a hit-and-run crash that occurred on June 23, 2023, at the intersection of Wisner Boulevard and Fredericks Avenue and caused life-threatening injuries to the victim.
