The NOPD's Central Evidence & Property Division took in 1,558 firearms in 2015 and 1,470 firearms in 2016. The officer in charge of managing these guns discusses the importance of the division's evidence logging process, as well as the steps taken to properly return guns not considered evidence to their rightful owners.
