NOPD Arrests Suspect for Drug Law Violation, Possession of Firearm

The NOPD on March 28, 2017 arrested Brandon Shallerhorn (DOB 01-03-1986) after being found in possession of illegal drugs and a firearm.

At about 8:48 a.m., an NOPD Seventh District officer conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Dwyer Road and Cannes Street. During the course of the investigation, the driver – identified as Shallerhorn – was found to be in possession of crack cocaine, marijuana, alprazolam and ecstasy. In addition, investigation led police to discover that Shallerhorn was in illegal possession of a firearm.

Shallerhorn was booked into Central Lockup on charges of illegal carrying of a weapon, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of each of the remaining aforementioned substances, as well as a charge of violating a protective order.
