The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred on September 28, 2025, in the 100 block of Bourbon Street in the Eighth District and left one person dead and three injured.
At about 2:22 a.m., NOPD Eighth District officers responded to shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers located three gunshot wound victims – two adult females and one adult male. One of the adult females was declared deceased on scene, while the remaining adult female and adult male were transported to a local hospital. A short time later, a third female victim was located near the intersection of Saint Charles Avenue and Canal Street. The victim, who had sustained a graze gunshot wound, was also transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No additional details are currently available.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the deceased victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
