The NOPD has arrested two suspects in its ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on September 28, 2025, in the 200 block of Bourbon Street.

Mekhi Jarius Andry (black male, DOB: 02-13-2005) was taken into custody this morning (September 30, 2025) in Jefferson Parish by members of the NOPD’s Violent Offender Warrant Squad and its Violent Crime Abatement Investigative Team, the U.S. Marshals, Louisiana State Police and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The second suspect, identified as Dontrell Bradley (black male, DOB: 11-18-2005), is currently in police custody but remains hospitalized for treatment of gunshot wound injuries sustained in this incident.

At about 2:22 a.m. on September 28, NOPD officers patrolling in the area responded to shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located three gunshot wound victims – two adult females and one adult male. One of the adult females was declared deceased on scene, while the remaining adult female and adult male were transported to a local hospital. A short time later, a third female victim was located near the intersection of Saint Charles Avenue and Canal Street. The victim, who had sustained a graze gunshot wound, was also transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives determined Andry to be the initial perpetrator in this incident, firing gunshots toward Bradley who detectives determined was struck and returned fire.

Andry will be booked in Jefferson Parish as a fugitive and then extradited to the Orleans Justice Center, where he will be charged with one count of second-degree murder and three counts of attempted second-degree murder.

Once released from medical care, Bradley will be booked into the Orleans Justice Center on two probation warrants from the state of Texas regarding an aggravated assault charge there, as well as for an arrest warrant in Orleans Parish for being a felon in possession of a firearm in this incident.

NOPD Homicide Section detectives continue to investigate this incident and have been in consultation with the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office regarding the criminal charges Andry and Bradley will ultimately face. No other subjects were found to have discharged firearms in this incident.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
