The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating a subject wanted in connection with an attempted auto theft in the Fourth District.
On September 19, 2023, at about 2:05 p.m., the owner of a white Pontiac Aztec came upon the pictured subject trying to steal her car in the 1300 block of Southlawn Boulevard.
The subject was attempting to lift the Pontiac onto the pictured trailer which was being pulled by a grey pickup (pictured). The vehicle owner confronted the subject, who then released the vehicle and fled the scene in the pickup and trailer.
The suspect's pickup truck has Louisiana license plate # Z380993.
