NOPD Seeking Suspects in Pair of Seventh District Armed Carjacking Incidents

NOPD Seeking Suspects in Pair of Seventh District Armed Carjacking Incidents

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating those responsible for two armed carjacking incidents that occurred on September 20, 2021 in the Seventh District.

At approximately 9:40 p.m., NOPD Seventh District Units responded to an armed carjacking in the 4900 block of Brittany Court, where the victim’s truck was stolen at gunpoint by what was described as four to six teenage juvenile suspects in dark clothing. The stolen vehicle is described as a black 2018 Toyota Tacoma bearing Mississippi Disabled Veteran license plate 474VV and having a light around the trailer hitch.

While in route to the Brittany Court call, another armed carjacking was dispatched for the 5200 block of Michoud Boulevard, where at least three subjects in a black pickup truck reportedly carjacked the victim at gunpoint. The stolen vehicle is described as a black 2017 Honda Accord Touring bearing Louisiana license late 310AIY and having a Xavier University decal on the rear windshield.

For reference, stock images have been included of vehicles matching the description of the vehicles reported stolen in these incidents.

Through investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives have determined these two incidents to be connected.
