Wanted Suspect Sought in Eighth District Shooting

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Joshua Stewart (pictured, DOB: 07-05-2001) in the investigation of a shooting that occurred on September 26, 2020 in the100 block of Camp Street.

At about 3:00 a.m., an aggravated battery by shooting occurred at the listed location. Through investigation, NOPD Eighth District detectives have positively identified Stewart as the suspected perpetrator in this incident. Stewart is wanted on charges of aggravated battery and illegal discharge of a firearm during a crime of violence.

Stewart is a resident of Lake Charles, LA and is believed to have relocated back to that area following this incident.
