NOPD Investigates Seventh District Homicide

NOPD is investigating a homicide that in the Seventh District.

Around 10:57 p.m., Seventh District officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 5200 block of Michoud Boulevard.

When responding officers arrived, they discovered a male victim suffering from an undetermined number of gunshot wounds. The victim later died at the scene.

Investigators are in the process of gathering information that will help them identify a person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No further information is available at this time.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine the official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
