NOPD Investigates Quadruple Shooting in Sixth District

The NOPD is investigating a quadruple shooting that occurred Monday (Sept. 7) evening in the Sixth District.

At around 8:30 p.m., Sixth District officers responded to reports of an aggravated battery by shooting in the 1500 block of Freret Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple victims who were struck by gunfire.

One juvenile male sustained a graze wound to the ankle, one adult male sustained a graze wound to the head, one adult male sustained a gunshot wound to the abdomen, and one adult female sustained a gunshot wound to the foot. All four victims were transported to the hospital by EMS, where they are currently listed in stable condition.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive. No further details are available at this time. The investigation remains open and active.
