Suspect Identified in Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Assault, False Imprisonment (Domestic) on Dwyer Road

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Travis Damone Watson (DOB: 12-17-1987) in connection with an incident that occurred in the 15500 block of Dwyer Road on September 19, 2018.

Investigators learned that the victim, while outside her residence, reportedly observed her ex-boyfriend – identified as Watson – approaching the residence on foot. Reportedly fearing for her safety, the victim fled toward the front door of her residence. As the victim neared the door and attempted to open it, Watson allegedly approached from the rear, forced the door open and pushed the victim inside. Once inside, Watson allegedly dragged the victim into her bedroom forcefully and pushed her onto the bed. Watson then reportedly proceeded to repeatedly strike and choke the subject. During the physical attack, Watson allegedly produced a handgun, pointed it toward the victim as he threatened her. As the victim reportedly attempted to flee the location, Watson allegedly prevented her from leaving. Watson later left the residence and reportedly returned on the following day, allegedly produced a firearm and threatening to kill the victim as he pointed the handgun toward her stomach. Watson later left the scene.

Watson is described as a black male standing about 5’11” and weighing about 260 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans.
