NOPD Seeking Suspect in Armed Robbery on Ursulines Avenue

The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in an armed robbery incident that occurred on September 25, 2018 in the 1300 block of Ursulines Avenue.

At about 8:00 p.m., the pictured subject reportedly entered a business and placed a black laptop style carrying bag on the counter, at which time he stated several times, “Don’t make me show it to you”. The subject then allegedly produced a large silver handgun. The cashier then removed the cash drawer from the cash box and placed it inside of the bag. The subject then fled the location on foot north bound on Ursuline Street toward North Claiborne Avenue, then unknown.

The subject was described as black male with a deep voice – possibly doing so in disguise. He is further described as standing approximately 5’9” tall and weighing about 160 pounds, wearing a light blue shirt, blue hat and a multi-colored scarf around his neck.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident or the pictured subject is asked to contact NOPD First District detectives at 504-658-6010 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll free at 1-877-903-7867.
