NOPD Searching for Suspect in Simple Battery Incident in Second District

The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify the pictured subject, who is wanted in connection with a simple battery incident that occurred on September 22, 2018 at the intersection of South Carrollton and South Claiborne avenues.

At about 1:14 p.m., the pictured subject reportedly entered a streetcar at the intersection and refused to pay the fare. The subject then engaged in an altercation with the streetcar driver, during which the subject allegedly committed a battery on the driver.

The subject was described as a black male standing about 5’11” and believed to be between 25 and 40 years of age with a short twist hairstyle.
