NOPD Arrest Suspect for Simple Burglary on Laine Avenue

The NOPD has arrested Ronnie Anthony Lewis (DOB: 06-13-1964) in connection with a simple burglary that occurred on September 19, 2018 in the 4600 block of Laine Avenue.

Lewis was allegedly observed by an eyewitness breaking into the Restoration Church, located in the 4600 block of Laine Avenue. After the burglary, Lewis reportedly relocated to a local pawn shop, where he sold the lawn equipment he had stolen from the church to the pawn shop. During the investigation, Seventh District Task Force Officers were able to identify Lewis as the subject responsible for the burglary, and Lewis was subsequently arrested for simple burglary of a religious building.
