The NOPD is looking to locate Michel “One Love”  Hubert (DOB: 8/13/1968) for aggravated assault and unauthorized use of a moving vehicle.

On July 8, 2017, the victim told police he left his cab running on Dorsiere Street while he went inside of a hotel to use the bathroom.  When the victim returned a few minutes later, his vehicle was gone. After about 20 minutes of searching the area, the vehicle was recovered a few blocks away with the assistance of Eighth District officers. Through the course of the investigation, Hubert was developed as the perpetrator in the incident.

Two days later, another victim contacted police after he was approached by Hubert in the 500 block of Canal Street. The victim stated Hubert held a holding knife in his left hand and brandished a black handgun in front of the victim by pulling up the right side of his shirt.

Hubert is known to frequent the Eighth District and First District areas posing as a cab driver.
