Suspect Identified in Simple Robbery on South Carrollton Avenue

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Ryan Bourgeois (DOB: 10-18-1987) in connection with a simple robbery that occurred on September 14, 2017 in the 3400 block of South Carrollton Avenue.

At about 8 p.m., an unknown white male entered the restaurant and made a food order, before acting as if he did not have enough money. The victim stated the subject then changed his food order. The cashier said that when she turned to change the order with the staff, the subject pushed over the register screen and reached into the drawer and took cash from the register. The cashier told police that she attempted to stop the subject, but was scratched by the subject in a small scuffle. The subject then reportedly exited the store, fleeing the scene in a small dark pickup truck.

As investigation progressed, detectives were able to develop Bourgeois as the perpetrator in this incident.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Bourgeois or regarding this incident is asked to contact Second District detectives at 504-658-6020. Citizens with information that can help solve crimes are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
