Suspect Arrested for Simple Burglary on Homer Street

The NOPD Fourth District has arrested Woodrow Gibson (DOB: 03-19-1984) after he was developed as the perpetrator in a simple burglary that occurred in the 900 block of Homer Street.       

The victim told police on Thursday, September 21, 2017 she returned to home from work at around 5:15 p.m. and discovered the door open on her shed which is attached to her  residence. The victim then discovered tools missing from her shed.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to identify Gibson as the perpetrator in the incident.

He was arrested in the 400 block of Atlantic Street by Detective Nicole Alcala while she was on patrol and observed Gibson to be in possession of the stolen tools. He was booked with simple burglary, relative to illegal possession of stolen things and illegal carry of a weapon.
