The NOPD Fifth District is asking for the public's assistance in locating and identifying an unknown male suspect after he was seen robbing the Metro PCS cellular store on Franklin Avenue on September 20, 2017.

At around 10 a.m., the store clerks were at the front register when an unknown black male entered the business in the 1600 block of Franklin Avenue, armed with a silver semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.

The store clerks then handed him over cash from the register, and the suspect fled northbound on Franklin Avenue and then in an unknown direction.

Surveillance video of the incident can be seen here.

The suspect is described as a slim, black male between 25-30 years of age. He was seen in the incident wearing a black and white bandanna that covered the lower half of face, a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jogging pants with the words “NAVY” on both pant legs and a blue glove on left hand.
