Sixth District Probation, Parole Checks Result in Multiple Arrests, Confiscation of Drugs

Sixth District Probation, Parole Checks Result in Multiple Arrests, Confiscation of Drugs

The Sixth District in conjunction with the Louisiana Office of Probation and Parole and the U. S. Marshals Services conducted a probation, parole and compliance check during the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 27, 2017 and Thursday, September 28, 2017.

As a result of these checks, the following arrests were made:

  • 8 Felony Arrests
  • 2 Misdemeanor Arrests
  • 8 Municipal Arrests

Out of the total number of arrests, Joshua Harris (DOB: 4-30-1984) and Georgeka Holmes (DOB: 7-19-1987) were found to be in possession of ecstasy, heroin, crack cocaine, more $1500 in cash and a firearm during the check.

They were arrested and booked with the following charges below:

  • Felon in Possession of A Firearm (Sig Sauer .40 Cal., Model 2022)
  • Illegal Carrying of a Firearm While In Possession of Narcotics
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Heroin 3.9 Grams
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Powder and Crack Cocaine 17 Grams
  • Possession with the Intent to Distribute Ecstasy 503.1 Grams (1722 Pills)
