Female Suspect Wanted for Aggravated Battery & Aggravated Assault

The NOPD Fifth District is searching for Jayvonda Bazile (DOB: 05/11/1988) after she reportedly struck a victim multiple times with a baseball bat on September 8, 2017. 

At about 9 p.m., the victim and her child’s father were involved in a verbal altercation at the intersection of Painters Street and North Roman Street. The victim then stated a gold sports utility vehicle approached the intersection.  The driver of the sports utility vehicle, later identified as Bazile, became involved in a verbal altercation with the victim. The victim then told police Bazile then placed her vehicle in drive and accelerated the vehicle toward the victim.

The victim avoided being hit by the vehicle and fell to the ground. The victim then told police Bazile exited the driver’s seat armed with a bat and struck the victim several times while she was on the ground.

The victim positively identified the wanted subject through the course of the investigation.
