NOPD Seeking Suspects in Aggravated Battery on Bourbon Street

The NOPD is requesting assistance from the public in identifying and locating two individuals believed to be responsible for an aggravated battery in the 500 block of Bourbon Street. The incident occurred on September 3, 2016.

At about 4:10 a.m., Eighth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery in the 700 block of St. Louis Street. When officers arrived, the victim informed them that the incident had occurred at Big Easy Daiquiri Shop, located at 501 Bourbon Street. The victim said she and a friend stopped inside of the bar to use the restroom. While in the restroom, the victim said, she heard an unknown subject beating on the main door. The victim said she opened the door in an attempt to leave when she saw an unknown black male try to enter the restroom. At that time, the victim said, she shoved the subject backwards against the door frame before he allegedly struck the victim to the upper left side of the face with his hand, which concealed a small chrome handgun, causing the victim to bleed. The victim and her friend hid in a stall before the suspect stepped away from the door and back into the main bar area before fleeing onto Bourbon Street.
