NEW ORLEANS- The NOPD is asking for help in identifying a subject wanted for illegal carrying of a firearm.
On October 29, 2023 at about 3:11 p.m., officers received a call for service of an unknown black male illegally carrying a firearm in the 3600 block of Macarthur Boulevard.
Upon arrival, a subject fitting the description fled on foot and officers observed him dropping a green backpack. Inside of the backpack, officers found a Century Arms Enhanced VSKA AK-47 Pistol.
The subject is described as 5'8" in height, around 150 lbs., and was wearing a white tank top blue jeans and a grey bucket hat.
