NOPD Searching for Suspects in Eighth District Simple Robbery Incidents

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating one known suspect and one unidentified suspect in the ongoing investigation of two simple robbery incidents that both occurred earlier this month in the Eighth District.

Through investigation, Clarence Porter (pictured, black male, DOB: 02-07-2000) has been identified by NOPD Eighth District detectives as a perpetrator in both a purse snatching that occurred on October 10 at about 10:44 p.m. at the intersection of Chartres Street and Esplanade Avenue, as well as in a simple robbery that occurred on October 20 in the 400 block of Bourbon Street.

Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Porter on charges of purse snatching, possession of stolen things and for simple robbery.

Additionally, detectives are also seeking the subject pictured at Porter’s right in connection with the October 10 purse snatching incident.

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Anyone with additional information that can aid in this investigation, including the whereabouts of either of these subjects, is urged to contact NOPD Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080. Those wishing to report information anonymously can do so by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
