The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Gwendolyn Carter (pictured, black female, DOB; 04-02-1984) in the investigation of an aggravated assault and theft incident that occurred on October 1, 2022, in the 4800 block of Chef Menteur Highway.
Through investigation, NOPD Third District detectives have positively identified Carter as the perpetrator who reportedly shoplifted more than $300 worth of merchandise from the location. As an employee pursued Carter, Carter allegedly produced a firearm and pointed it at the employee. Carter then fled the scene in a red 2019 Mercedes-Benz GLA bearing Louisiana license plate 769FIO.
