NOPD Obtains Arrest Warrant for Juvenile Suspect in Armed Robbery, Carjacking Investigations

**NOTE: Per the criteria stated under Louisiana Children’s Code, Article 412 (Confidentiality of records; disclosure exceptions; sanctions), Paragraph H, this wanted suspect’s name and photograph are being released to the public.**.

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for 15-year-old Tevin Cooper (pictured, black male) in the investigations of multiple violent crimes, including armed robbery and armed carjacking, all committed on September 5, 2022.

Through investigation, NOPD Second District detectives and members of the NOPD’s Violent Crimes Abatement Investigative Team have developed and positively identified Cooper as a perpetrator in the following investigations:

  • An armed robbery in the 200 block of Loyola Avenue.
  • An armed carjacking at the intersection of Henry Clay Avenue and Annunciation Street
  • An attempted armed robbery in the 6100 block of Magazine Street.
  • An armed carjacking in the 800 block of Port Street.
