Suspect Wanted in Second District Shooting

The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify a suspect in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred on February 25, 2020 in the 4000 block of South Derbigny Street.

At about 4:09 a.m.., the victim reportedly confronted a burglary of his vehicle while in progress. The pictured perpetrator, who was allegedly inside the victim’s vehicle at the time of the incident, is believed to have produced a firearm and shot the victim before exiting the vehicle and fleeing on foot.

The perpetrator was described as a black male believed to be in his early 20s with a thin stature, dark complexion and twist hair style with possibly blonde tips.
