NOPD Investigating Homicide in Second District

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred this evening (October 28, 2020) in the 4100 block of Eden Street.

At about 9:23 p.m., NOPD Second District officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive adult male lying in the street with an unspecified number of gunshot wound(s). The victim was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No additional details are available at this time.

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
