NOPD Identifies Suspects Wanted, Arrested for Eighth District Armed Robbery

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Ardecia Jones (pictured at left, female, DOB: 04-08-1986) in the investigation of an armed robbery on October 16, 2020 in the 100 block of Carondelet Street.

In this incident, two victims were beaten and then robbed of their belongings by of group of male and female subjects. One of the female subjects, later positively identified as Jones, allegedly brandished a handgun and pointed it towards the victims during the robbery.

Jones is believed to be a Lake Charles residence who was displaced to New Orleans at the time of the incident. She is also believed to have possibly returned to Lake Charles after the incident occurred.

Another suspect in this incident, identified as Arielle Brignac (pictured at right, female, DOB: 02-28-2000) was arrested on October 22 in connection with this incident. However, Jones and the remaining unidentified suspects remain at large. Investigation into this incident remains active.
