NOPD Confiscates Firearms & Narcotics, Arrests Suspect in Third District Investigation

The NOPD has arrested Jamell Gilbert (pictured, male, DOB: 09-02-1993) and confiscated multiple firearms and illegal narcotics as part of an ongoing investigation.

On October 26, 2020, the pictured firearms and narcotics were confiscated during an investigation of an individual found to be in illegal possession of a firearm at the intersection of Monroe Street and Fern Court. In addition, the following vehicles were found to be associated with this investigation – a white 2019 Nissan Rouge, a gray 2014 Hyundai Elantra and an unknown year gray Toyota Corolla.

During the investigation, Gilbert was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for possession of an illegally concealed firearm.
