The NOPD has arrested two suspects and siezed multiple illegal narcotics and firearms after enacting a search warrant at a residence in the 2400 block of Martin Luther King Blvd. on October 27, 2020.
NOPD Sixth District Property Crimes Unit detectives, along with officers from the Special Operations Division and its Violent Crime Abatement Investigation Team, served a search warrant at the location. The following property and narcotics recovered during the execution of the search warrant include two semi-automatic firearms, one with an extended magazine; illegal narcotics including crack cocaine, heroin and marijuana; measuring scales commonly used in the distribution of illegal narcotics and cash.
Arrested in this incident were Tyrell Bailey (pictured at left, male, DOB: 04-25-1992) and Tyone Reed (pictured at right, male, DOB: 02-21-1981). Both were booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center. Bailey was booked for possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while in possession of illegal narcotics and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Reed was booked with possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, heroin and marijuana and with possession of a firearm while in possession of illegal narcotics. Reed was also booked on a charge of aggravated assault in connection with a separate incident.
