NOPD Searching for Vehicle Stolen from Five Oaks Drive

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating a vehicle reported as stolen from the 0 block of Five Oaks Drive on September 28, 2018.

At about 8:30 p.m., the victim’s brown 2015 Honda CRV bearing Louisiana license plate 382CAG was burglarized, during which time a spare key to the vehicle was stolen. At about 10:55 p.m., an unknown subject who arrived at the location in the pictured suspect vehicle – believed to be a Cadillac Deville (at right) – used the reported stolen key to gain access to the vehicle. The suspect then drove away from the scene in the victim’s vehicle.

The victim’s vehicle is further described as having a magnet on the right rear side of the license plate that says “St. Andrews Apostle School.”

The suspect vehicle reportedly matches the description of a vehicle reported as stolen in an incident earlier in the day in the 1000 block of Alix Street.

Surveillance video of this incident can be viewed here and here.

A photo is included of a vehicle similar in color, year, make and model to the reported stolen vehicle.

Anyone with additional information on this incident or the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle and/or suspect vehicle is asked to contact NOPD Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
