Two Suspects Wanted for Shoplifting in Eighth District

The NOPD Eighth District is seeking assistance from the public in locating and identifying two unknown male subjects after they were seen shoplifting on September 24, 2017.

At approximately 3 p.m., the pictured subject seen on the left entered the Nordstrom

Rack clothing store located at 500 Port of New Orleans. The male subject was then observed removing his shoes and placing them in his backpack. The suspect then took a pair of Timberland boots from the shelf and attempted to walk out of the store without paying for them.  However, the suspect was confronted by the Loss Prevention officer where he removed the boots in an attempt to give them back, but instead the suspect elbowed the Loss Prevention officer and fled the location.

At approximately 9:33 p.m., the sales clerk was assisting customers toward the back of the store located at 425 Decatur Street. The store clerk stated she was then alerted by a customer that someone was taking a hat without paying for the merchandise. The suspect then fled the location in an unknown direction. The suspect responsible can be seen pictured on the right side of photo above.

Anyone with information on the above pictured subjects can contact any Eighth District Investigation Unit (DIU) detective at 504-658-6080. Citizens with information that can help solve a crime are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
