NOPD Seeking Suspect Seen on Surveillance Using Stolen Credit Card

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public to locate an individual seen on surveillance video using a credit card that was reported as stolen in an incident in the 5200 block of Canal Boulevard on September 21, 2017.

 

At about 11:18 a.m., the victim told Third District detectives she had entered the Dollar Tree store at 5201 Canal Street. While at the store, she found her wallet missing from her open purse. After searching for her wallet, she began to receive fraud alerts from her credit card company, stating that her card had been used at several locations throughout the city.

Surveillance video of a unknown black male subject using the victim’s credit card at a local Lowe’s Home Improvement store later in the day on September 21 at about 6:44 p.m. can be viewed at https://youtu.be/5JATnW_--Ak.

The suspect in this video is described as a black male with a bald head and light complexion, wearing a black t-shirt- black shorts and black shoes.
