NOPD Investigates Double Homicide on Deslonde Street

NOPD Investigates Double Homicide on Deslonde Street

The NOPD Homicide Unit is investigating a double homicide that claimed the life of an adult male and female victim.

Tonight, October 26, 2017, Fifth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting at around 8:12 p.m. in the 900 block of Deslonde Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered the two victims suffering from gunshot wound(s) inside of a residence.

Both victims were pronounced dead on the scene

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible in this incident, as well as a motive.

No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
