UPDATE: NOPD Identifies Second Suspect for Attempted Murder on Tullis Drive

UPDATE: The NOPD is looking for Andre Joseph Douglas (DOB: 09-02-84) after he reportedly fired his weapon at his girlfriend’s neighbor on Tullis Drive.

Once located, Douglas will be arrested and charged with attempted second degree murder.

The NOPD has arrested Dalencia Allen (DOB: 7-8-1985) as a principal to aggravated battery related to an incident that took place yesterday (Oct. 2).

At approximately 10 a.m. on October 2, 2016, Allen and a male friend knocked on the door of the victim, who is a neighbor of Allen’s in the 5700 block of Tullis Drive.  Allen and her neighbor had been involved in a verbal altercation over a parking spot at their apartment complex.  Allen’s friend questioned the victim about the incident then produced a weapon and shot the victim. Once police were notified of the shooting, the victim was transported to the hospital by EMS.

Both Allen and the perpetrator fled the scene. She ran away on foot back to her apartment while the male left the area in an older model black Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Police are still seeking the male perpetrator in this incident.

The subsequent investigation resulted in the identification of Allen as the woman who came to the victim’s door with the male who shot the victim. She was arrested and charged with principal to aggravated battery. A photo of Allen is included below.
