Suspect Wanted for Auto Theft on Morrison Road

The NOPD is looking to identify an unknown male subject after he was seen taking a vehicle in the 6500 block of Morrison Road.

It happened around 3:40 a.m. on October 3, 2016. The victim told police he left his keys in the ignition to go drop off newspapers at a convenience store. The victim stated he observed an unknown black male outside of the store who asked the victim if he was going to Slidell. The victim said he told him no and proceeded inside of the store. At that time, the unknown male subject entered the victim’s 2001 red Explorer and drove away.

Officers learned the suspect had been in and out of the store before taking the victim’s vehicle. Photos of the suspect on surveillance video can be seen below. The victim also had an interlock device in his vehicle, which was able to capture photos of the suspect blowing into the device while in the vehicle.
