Suspect Identified in Home Invasion, Second-Degree Battery on Garden Oaks Drive

 Suspect Identified in Home Invasion, Second-Degree Battery on Garden Oaks Drive

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Miguel Joseph Young (DOB: 07-03-1974) in connection with a home invasion and second-degree battery in the 3300 block of Garden Oaks Drive on October 18, 2016.

At about 3:10 p.m., it is believed that Young went to the residence of his estranged wife and forced his way inside of the residence. While inside, Young allegedly battered the victim, causing severe facial and head trauma. The victim was left injured inside the apartment and found the next afternoon. The victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Young has an extensive history of domestic violence and should be considered dangerous. A photo of Young is included with this release.

When located, Young faces charges including felony home invasion, second-degree battery and domestic abuse charges.
