The NOPD has issued an arrest warrant for Brian Hiem (DOB: 10-13-1989) who is wanted for armed robbery.
On October 2, 2016, at approximately noon Hiem met the victim, an acquaintance, in the 1500 block of North Tonti Street. Hiem pointed a gun at the victim and demanded he turn over his property. The victim complied and fled the scene.
Hiem is described as a black male, 5’7” tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and black jeans. A photo of Hiem is included below.

Armed Robbery
In Louisiana, an armed robbery conviction requires the offender to be imprisoned at hard labor for 10 – 99 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. When a firearm is used in the commission of the crime, the offender will be imprisoned for an additional 5 years that will be served consecutively to the original sentence.
