The NOPD needs the public’s assistance in identifying armed robbery suspects.
On October 29, 2016, at approximately 9:28 a.m., two unknown black males robbed the Amigos Supermarket in the 1600 block of Gentilly Boulevard.
The suspects were wearing masks and black clothing and they both brandished black semi-automatic handguns. They fled the location with approximately $250 in cash and were last seen running northbound on Maurepas Street.
A photo pulled from the store’s surveillance video shows one of the suspects. It is included below.

Armed Robbery
In Louisiana, an armed robbery conviction requires the offender to be imprisoned at hard labor for 10 – 99 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. When a firearm is used in the commission of the crime, the offender will be imprisoned for an additional 5 years that will be served consecutively to the original sentence.
