NOPD Investigating Homicide on Vespasian Boulevard

NOPD Investigating Homicide on Vespasian Boulevard

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that took place in a parking lot of an apartment complex at Westbend Parkway and Vespasian Boulevard.

At 12:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to Westbend and Vespasian for a call of an aggravated battery by shooting. Upon arrival they found a 31-year-old black male behind the wheel of a white Jeep in a parking space by several apartments. The vehicle was still running and all four of its windows had been shot out. The victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
