NOPD Investigating Homicide on Dreux Avenue

NOPD Investigating Homicide on Dreux Avenue

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday (Oct.17) in the 2400 block of Dreux Avenue.

At around 8:30 p.m., Third District officers responded to an aggravated battery by shooting. Once officers arrived, they discovered a male (DOB:08-3-1980) outside of a home suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest area. EMS transported the victim to the hospital. The victim later died from his injuries at the hospital.

This investigation is on-going. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Officer will release the name of the victim and the official cause of death.
