NOPD Investigating a Murder on Tullis Drive

The NOPD Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred tonight (Oct. 20), in the 6100 block of Tullis Drive. The triple shooting claimed the life of a 26-year-old male, and wounded another 26-year-old male and a 6-month-old infant male.

Around 9:00 p.m., Fourth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting at the entrance gates of an apartment complex.. Upon arrival, police discovered three victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the adult victims was pronounced dead at the scene. The other adult and the infant were transported by EMS to an area hospital for treatment. The man was listed in stable condition and the infant was listed in serious condition.

Investigation into this incident is ongoing. No further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the identities of the deceased victim and official causes of death, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
