NOPD Investigating a Homicide at the Intersection of Lyons and Constance Street

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred on Monday (Oct. 17) at the corner of Lyons and Constance Street.

Just around 8:40 p.m., Second District officers responded to calls of shots fired in the area. When officers arrived, they observed a male victim (DOB:01-15-1969) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the intersection. EMS transported the victim to the hospital who later died from his injuries.

 This investigation is on-going. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Officer will release the name of the victim and the official cause of death. No further information is available at this time.
