NOPD Seeking Person of Interest for Questioning in Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a person of interest sought for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on November 11, 2024, in the 8200 block of South I-10 Service Road.

Shortly before 8:25 a.m., NOPD Seventh District officers were dispatched to the location for a call of a person down. Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive adult male gunshot wound victim. EMS arrived on scene and confirmed the victim to be deceased.

On November 14, the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 17-year-old Tyrone Nash, and determined preliminary cause of death to be from gunshot-related injuries.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Section detectives have developed the pictured subject as a person of interest in this case. The subject is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel that the subject may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview this person.

Anyone with additional information on the listed person of interest or any other information that can assist in this investigation is urged to contact NOPD Homicide District detectives at 504-658-5300. Those wishing to report information anonymously can do so by calling Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
