UPDATE: NOPD Arrests Suspect Wanted for Reckless Operation in First District, Second Suspect Remains at Large

UPDATE: Wanted suspect Jermaine Turner surrendered to NOPD First District officers today (November 2). He will be booked accordingly on the listed charges.

Wanted suspect Devin D. Curley remains at large as of this writing.

 

ORIGINAL: The NOPD has obtained arrest warrants for Devin D. Curley (pictured at top, black male, DOB: 08-01-1994) and Jermaine Turner (pictured at bottom, black male, DOB: 11-26-1989) in the investigation of a reckless operation of vehicles incident that occurred on October 30, 2022, at the intersection of North Claiborne Avenue and Columbus Street.

At about 6:49 p.m., the two listed suspects were observed at the listed location recklessly operating their respective vehicles – Curley was seen operating the pictured red Chevrolet Camaro SS bearing expired Louisiana license plate 631DTP, while Turner was seen operating the pictured black Pontiac Trans Am bearing Louisiana license plate 105FWT. Actions included doing burnouts and/or donuts in the presence of spectators.

Arrest warrants are on file for both subjects, each charged with one count of reckless operation of a vehicle, of simple obstruction of a highway of commerce and for additional traffic charges.
