The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a person of interest sought for questioning and a DNA swab in the investigation of a homicide on August 12, 2020 in the 3100 block of St. Claude Avenue.
Through investigation, Shanira Watson (pictured, female, DOB: 12-26-1979) has been identified as a person of interest in this investigation. Watson is not wanted on criminal charges at this time. However, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives feel she has knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to question her. Additionally, a buccal swab search warrant has also been obtained for Watson.
