NOPD Seeking Persons of Interest for Questioning in Respective Homicide Investigations

NOPD Seeking Persons of Interest for Questioning in Respective Homicide Investigations

The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating two individuals sought for questioning in two respective and unrelated homicide investigations.

Carlius Maruice Joseph (pictured above, male, DOB: 10-30-1995) is sought for questioning in the investigation of a homicide on May 26, 2019 in the 1400 block of North Claiborne Avenue. Additionally, Joseph is also sought for a DNA buccal swab in this investigation.

 

The above pictured unknown male subject is sought for questioning as a person of interest in the investigation of a homicide on October 10, 2020 in the 8800 block of Colapissa Street.

Neither of these persons of interest are sought on criminal charges at this time. However, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives feel these individuals have knowledge of information pertinent to the respective investigations and wish to interview them.

Anyone with additional information on the May 26, 2019 homicide in the 1400 block of North Claiborne Avenue or on person of interest Carlius Maurice Joseph is asked to contact NOPD Homicide Unit Detective Arin Starzyk at 504-658-5300.

Anyone with additional information on the October 10 homicide in the 8800 block of Colapissa Street or the identity of the pictured unknown person of interest is asked to contact NOPD Homicide Unit Detective Michael Poluikis at 504-658-5300.
