The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Kunta Kinte Smith (pictured, DOB: 06-14-1978) in the investigation of an auto theft that occurred on November 4, 2019.
The victim reported that Smith, described as a friend who was visiting from Mongtomery, Alabama took the victim’s personal belongings and the vicitm’s 2016 Chevrolet Spark bearing Louisiana license plate 517BDQ without permission. The victim said she tracked a cell phone that was reported taken, which showed the vehicle to be in Alabama.
For reference purposes, a photo is included of a vehicle similar in make and model to the vehicle reported stolen in this incident.
